The Abundant Life Church was founded by Dr. Aill R. Harris, Jr. on July 21, 1999. Just four days later, on July 25, 1999, we held our first official Sunday Morning Worship with 124 people in attendance—and 86 believers united with this new and divinely inspired work. Our early days were filled with faith and fervor as we worshiped in the “Red Room” through mid-August 1999. We then transitioned to the NSU Baptist Collegiate Ministry, where we worshiped and grew for five years and four months. These humble beginnings laid the foundation for a church committed to spiritual excellence and transformational ministry.

With God’s guidance, The Abundant Life Church made a significant move by purchasing 6.25 acres of land on Highway 6—and remarkably, it was paid off within just three years. As the church matured, so did its ministries. At only three years old, our Music Ministry recorded its first project, “You Are Everything to Me,” followed by its sophomore album, “It’s in My Heart,” released in the Fall of 2010. On August 31, 2006, we were blessed to purchase a 30,000-square-foot facility on 1.7 acres of land, which included a Sanctuary, Dance Studio, The Life Center, Workout Facilities, Commercial Kitchen, Game Room, and more. Renovations to the Life Center began in October 2006, with updates to the main sanctuary following in the spring and fall of 2009. By 2010–2011, we incorporated media presentation equipment to further enhance our worship experience. In our first 12 years, we served over 17,000 people and licensed and ordained more than 40 Sons and Daughters to preach the Gospel.

As we reflect on our journey, we remain deeply grateful for all that God has done—and we’re filled with faith for what’s to come. The Abundant Life Church is committed to creating a space Where Life is New, Eternal & Abundant. We continue to grow spiritually, expand our ministries, and serve our community with excellence.
